Insert legal texts in Amazon Seller Central
As an Amazon seller, you must integrate your legal texts properly on Amazon, otherwise you could face warnings for violating distance selling regulations. From terms and conditions to the privacy policy – in this article we show you how to integrate the texts correctly.
Which legal texts are required on Amazon?
The most important Amazon legal texts are usually::

- Cancellation policy incl. Sample withdrawal form

- Privacy policy
Where can I get my Amazon legal texts?
We have been buying our warning-proof legal texts from Händlerbund for years. If you pay monthly, you can get your legal texts for less than €15 and are protected in the event of a warning.
Alternatively, you can purchase your legal texts online from various providers; we advise against copying legal texts from other providers.
Where do I add the Amazon legal texts to my Seller Central?
In Seller Central Via gear ⇒ “Your information and guidelines”
The target page looks something like this:
Add imprint
Click on “Imprint & seller info” in the menu
Insert the imprint, check all the boxes and save.
Insert cancellation policy and shipping conditions
Analogous to inserting the imprint, call up the pages Cancellation policy and Shipping conditions and add the legal texts.
Tip: If you use Amazon’s FBA service, the withdrawal policy provided by Amazon is automatically displayed. If you also include your own withdrawal policy, this can lead to problems. Customers could then possibly be shown both withdrawal notices, which could lead to potential warnings. Therefore, only use your own withdrawal policy if you use the “Shipping by seller” option.
Add AGB
The terms and conditions are usually added under the “Custom help pages” tab.
Here you can add as many pages as you like, name them and save them. Due to their length, the GTCs are usually divided into different pages. In practice, the term “General Terms and Conditions with Customer Information” is used as the page name for the GTCs.
Wo can I see my Amazon legal texts?
After you have uploaded and saved your legal texts, they will be checked. If no violations are detected by Amazon, the legal texts will now be displayed on your seller profile.
You can find these, for example, if you call up your products and click on your seller name from there.
